In July 1971 I purchased my foundation bitch Jonval Shiralee bred by John and Val Edwards and mated her to Ch Colweena Brandy Snap owned by Helen Knight and produced a litter of eight puppies under the prefix of Jadeglo. I retained three puppies who won Best in Show and Runner Up Best in Show awards at all breed shows. One of the bitches from this litter, CH Jadeglo Glamour Girl produced my first Best in Specialty Show winner, Ch Jadeglo Denim Jeans, under Mr J. Parkinson from the UK in 1980. My prefix was changed to Jadecrest in 1981 and this litter Ch Noelaven Young McDuff/Ch Jadeglo Sunshyne produced Ch Jadecrest Gold Coin and Ch Jadecrest Star Affair, both Best in Show and Best in Specialty Show award winners. |

I became involved with the dog world by buying my eldest daughter a Collie Rough puppy for her birthday, where I had first pick of the litter. We were coaxed into showing and won Baby in Show first time out and a few Best in Shows - we were hooked! A few years on I became interested in stewarding and judging and in 1988 became an all breeds judge. The four breeds I have
been involved with are Collie Rough, English Springer Spaniels
and Welsh Corgis, Pembroke and Cardigan.
We have bred and exhibited these breeds with considerable
success, making up many champions and having won BIS and BISS as
well as CC’s, BOB’s and BIG at Brisbane Royals. |
